La Sociedad Gaditana de Historia Natural publica hoy (ver pdf adjunto) las bases de su III CONCURSO DE ILUSTRACIÓN. Este concurso tiene ya nivel internacional, ya que son muchos los dibujantes e ilustradores de naturaleza, de varios paises de Europa, que 
han participado en las ediciones anteriores.
Tanto el 1º como el 2º premio contarán con cuantías económicas patrocinadas por el Ayuntamiento de Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz) y los dibujos podrán aparecer en publicaciones y carteles de la SGHN. Las obras finalistas y las ganadoras serán presentadas al público en una proyección especialmente dirigida a este concurso durante la celebración de las VIII Jornadas de Historia Natural de Cádiz, en las cuales también tendrá lugar la ceremonia de entrega de premios. Este año las Jornadas, que se celebran en Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz) durante los días 26 y 27 de octubre, estarán dedicadas a la figura del pintor de naturaleza británico W. H. Riddell, que tuvo su residencia peninsular en esta villa. Igualmente tendrá lugar una exposición de las obras finalistas impresas a alta resolución en una sala contigua a las Jornadas.
Today the Sociedad Gaditana de Historia Natural has published the terms and conditions for the 3rd ILLUSTRATION CONTEST (see pdf attached). This contest has gained international reputation, for many wildlife illustrators and artists from several European countries have already participated in previous editions. Both the 1st prize and the 2nd prize will receive cash awards sponsored by the Ayuntamiento de Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz), and the artworks may be used in SGHN publications and posters. Winning and finalist artworks will be presented to the public as part of a slide show especially designed for this contest. The presentation will be displayed during the celebration of the VIII Jornadas de Historia Natural de Cádiz, when a special awards ceremony will take place. This year our annual natural history conference will be celebrated in Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz) on October 26th and 27th. The conference will be devoted to the figure of British wildlife artist W. H. Riddell, who dwelled in this town while in Spain. There will also be a finalists’ art exhibition. All finalists’ artworks will be printed in high resolution and displayed in an adjacent room to the conference room.
