La Sociedad Gaditana de Historia Natural lanza conjuntamente con la convocatoria de las IX Jornadas de Historia Natural de Cádiz, las bases de su IV Concurso de Ilustración (ver bases en pdf adjunto). Dicho concurso tiene ya una importante participación de dibujantes e ilustradores de naturaleza no solo a nivel nacional sino Europeo.
Tanto el 1º como el 2º premio contarán con cuantías económicas patrocinadas por el Ayuntamiento de San Fernando (Cádiz) y los dibujos podrán aparecer en publicaciones y carteles de la SGHN. Las obras finalistas y las ganadoras serán presentadas al público en una proyección especialmente dirigida a este concurso durante la celebración de las IX Jornadas de Historia Natural de Cádiz, en las cuales también tendrá lugar la ceremonia de entrega de premios. Tendrá lugar una exposición de las obras finalistas impresas a alta resolución en una sala contigua a las Jornadas.
Today the Sociedad Gaditana de Historia Natural has published the terms and conditions for the 4rd Illustration Contest (see pdf attached). This contest has gained international reputation, for many wildlife illustrators and artists from several European countries have already participated in previous editions. Both the 1st prize and the 2nd prize will receive cash awards sponsored by the Ayuntamiento de San Fernando (Cádiz), and the artworks may be used in SGHN publications and posters. Winning and finalist artworks will be presented to the public as part of a slide show especially designed for this contest. The presentation will be displayed during the celebration of the IX Jornadas de Historia Natural de Cádiz, when a special awards ceremony will take place. This year our annual natural history conference will be celebrated in San Fernando (Cádiz) on October 23th and 24th. There will also be a finalists’ art exhibition. All finalists’ artworks will be printed in high resolution and displayed in an adjacent room to the conference room.
